As business owners and fellow New Yorkers, we understand how crucial it is to break away now and then. In fact, that longing to get away is what led us here— to bucolic Greenville, New York—to restore and redesign a 1962 motor lodge. At The Woodhouse Lodge, we know the value of getting away, especially when it’s for one of life’s most important celebrations. Nestled in the scenic Catskills, our lodge offers a perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm, making it the ideal upstate NY wedding destination.

We’re here to redefine how people see roadside hotels.

HOW IT STARTED

Our desire to be upstate full-time was the beginning, the seed, of the idea to open a B&B. Initially, we sought an antique farmhouse. But, the stars aligned when we stumbled upon this old motor lodge with a retro A-frame exterior.

As any vintage hunter will tell you, you have to buy it when you see it because true gems, like this, don’t last long. And that is how we ended up buying Birmann’s Rainbow Lodge. AKA: The Woodhouse Lodge that we lovingly restored, transforming it into a serene getaway and sought-after upstate NY wedding destination.

Formerly a family-owned resort that opened in 1917, the lodge sits deep inside 95 acres of forest, on 3.5 acres of its own. Needless to say, the property offers the ultimate private escape.

Megan, a former Brooklyn-based interior designer, and her husband J, an artist and former DJ, thoughtfully styled and designed every element and detail of The Lodge to create a modern, stylish space that feels both natural and comforting.
